Based on the approval of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority, Antenna Hungária this Summer carries out frequency changes concerning fifteen analogue terrestrial television relay stations in favor of a successful execution of the digital switchover and further developments. The first phase of the frequency changes affects the analogue terrestrial reception of m1 programme in case of two sites, and TV2 programme in four cases. MinDig TV and MinDig TV Extra digital terrestrial television services will be available on unchanged frequencies.

Based on the approval of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority, Antenna Hungária in the course of two months carries out frequency changes in several steps concerning fifteen analogue terrestrial television relay stations in favor of a successful execution of the digital switchover and further developments.

The first phase of the frequency changes affects the analogue terrestrial reception (by a rooftop or indoor aerial) of m1 programme in case of two sites, and TV2 programme in four cases, mostly in the North-East of Hungary. After the frequency change, so as to receive m1 and TV2 analogue programs, the television sets should be tuned to the new frequencies at the concerned settlements.

In case of Komárom, Somoskőújfalu and Harsány reception areas, MinDig TV digital terrestrial television service serves as a further alternative offering 7 free-to-air digital television and 4 radio channels. So as to receive the free digital service – beyond the corresponding antenna – a DVB-T MPEG-4 set-top-box or an integrated TV-set equipped with a DVB-T MPEG-4 tuner are needed.
AH plans to retune the relay transmitters on the below mentioned day between 10 AM and 3 PM, which results a short, maximum one hour transmission outage.

The first phase of the frequency changes concerns the following six relay stations:

Date of the frequency change Affected programm Relay site Country Old channel New channel
2011. 06. 28. TV2 Harsány Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén 39 (615,25 MHz) 40 (623,25 MHz)
2011. 06. 30. TV2 Hollóháza Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén 31 (551,25 MHz) 46 (671,25 MHz)
2011. 07. 05. TV2 Répáshuta Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén 39 (615,25 MHz) 34 (575,25 MHz)
2011. 07. 07. TV2 Bánhorváti Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén 39 (615,25 MHz) 58 (767,25 MHz)
2011. 07. 12. m1 Somoskőújfalu Nógrád 39 (615,25 MHz) 51 (711,25 MHz)
2011. 07. 14. m1 Komárom Komárom-Esztergom 25 (503,25 MHz) 37 (599,25 MHz)

In the second phase further nine relay sites are concerned, the frequency changes will take place until August 31, 2011. AH will inform the public about these changes after the new frequencies and the exact dates of the transmitter modifications will be known.

MinDig TV and MinDig TV Extra digital terrestrial television services will be available on unchanged frequencies.

AH apoligizes for the inconveniences caused by the frequency changes and thanks the understanding of the affected viewers.
