The Metro Ethernet service (enabling the connection of local networks) provides a continuously managed, flexibly scalable Ethernet-based leased-line connection that enables fast and secure data communication between the customer-specified nodes and the connection of terminal nodes.
Our Internet service enables fast and secure access to domestic and international Internet networks in addition to continuous monitoring and availability. The service provides an ideal solution to connecting local area networks to the Internet.
The VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service is based on advanced Internet protocol technology, providing a high-quality and low-cost telephone and fax communication service to customers over a highly secure worldwide private primary network, which is completely independent of the traditional telephone network.
The IP VPN service, based on MPLS protocol, can be used to establish a virtual private network enabling data traffic between branch offices in a manner completely excluding unauthorized third parties from accessing the information flow.
The VSAT system, enabling satellite data transmission, provides the full service required for the continuous and highly reliable data traffic between remote nodes in the client's information system (branch offices, subsidiaries, field staff, debit and credit card POS locations, ATMs or vending machines etc.) and the main office.
Antenna Hungária Zrt. offers the management of the full or partial installation of optical and point-to-point or point-to-multipoint microwave equipment including drawing up the feasibility plan, ordering the equipment, conducting the authorization procedure, applying for frequency allocation, drawing up the implementation plan, the implementation and frequency monitoring and the putting into service procedure.

Technical implementation of the service
The managed leased-line service is a permanent digital connection between geographically dispersed sites, continuously managed for 24 hours a day, whose bandwidth can be modified to the client's needs, which includes the transmission routes and the implementation of service access points.
According to customer needs, sites are connected through leased lines of a bandwidth of nx64 kbit/s. The connection bandwidth may be increased if so required by the growing communication needs or traffic.
Depending on the availability of the node and on the required bandwidth, the access section of the leased line may be a point-to-point (PP) or point-to-multipoint (PMP) microwave connection.
The type of the microwave connection (PP or PMP) essentially determines the type of the WAN interfaces of the terminal equipment (router).
The WAN interfaces may be:

The basic quality parameters of Antenna Hungária Zrt's service are provided in accordance with the specifications set out in the ITU G.821 and ITU-T G.826 recommendations.
The required certificates of conformity and the type or special approval of the communications authority have been obtained for the devices and networks used for the service. The required official authorisations are included in the General Terms and Conditions of Service approved by the National Communications Authority.

The implementation and types of the Metro Ethernet service:
P2P-EPL (Point-to-Point Ethernet Private Line)
The P2P-EPL service provides Ethernet transmission ensuring port-based transparency between two network nodes regardless of whether the client's active device (either a router or a switch) sends native or tagged (802.1q) frames to the service provider's network. The service is implemented by Antenna Hungária Zrt. with QinQ and/or EoMPLS technology.
PMP-EVPL (Point-to-Point Ethernet Private Line)
The PMP-EVPL service is recommended to customers with more than two sites (typically a main office and a number of branch offices). The service provides VLAN-based transparent Ethernet transmission, where each node may forward one or more VLANs (CE-VLAN) to the central office. The service is implemented by Antenna Hungária Zrt. with QinQ / Selective QinQ and/or EoMPLS technology.
EP-LAN (Ethernet Private LAN)
In the EP-LAN configuration, the service provider's network appears as a single broadcast domain from the point of view of the customer (the customer-side terminal nodes). During the port-based transmission, both native and tagged (802.1q) frames can be sent by the active customer device (router or switch). The service is implemented by Antenna Hungária Zrt. with QinQ and/or VPLS technology.
EVP-LAN (Ethernet Virtual Private LAN – VLAN-based)
EVP-LAN is a variant of the EP-LAN service where the single broadcast domain configuration is achieved on VLAN level.
According to customer needs, sites may be connected at a bandwidth from nx64 kbit/s to the magnitude of Gigabytes.
Depending on the availability of the node and on the required bandwidth, the access section of the line may be microwave point-to-point (PP), point-to-multipoint (PMP) or an optical connection.

Antenna Hungária Zrt's backbone network is connected to two independent international Internet service providers.
Domestic relations
Antenna Hungária Zrt. was among the first Internet providers in Hungary to implement an optical cable connection to the Budapest Internet Exchange, of the bit rate specified by the BIX. In 1998, Antenna Hungária Zrt. was authorised by the Council of Hungarian Internet Providers to use its own network to provide a BIX connection to the Internet providers entitled to BIX membership.

Using their existing access technologies (microwave, optical and VSAT connection), customers connect to the nearest access point in Antenna Hungária Zrt's IP primary network. There is a wide range of bandwidth options for the connection to the backbone network (64 kbps-Gigabit Ethernet), and it may even vary by site within the same virtual private network. Central offices requiring a higher bandwidth and sites with a low traffic volume may thus be connected to the same VPN.

Technical implementation of the service
The IP VPN service enables the IP-based interconnection of local area networks (LANs) and network nodes at the client's sites via routers, i.e. the establishment of a virtual private network. Customers are provided with regular information on their traffic, statistical and other management data.
The IP-based VPN can ensure connection for geographically isolated sites by managing the data networks of the sites as a single LAN. IP traffic between the sites is private, with only users belonging to the particular VPN being able to communicate. This network is available for communication between them for an unlimited period of time, also enabling each site to access the internal networks of the other sites.
Antenna Hungária Zrt. enables its customers to use the other telecommunication services (Internet, VoIP) provided by the operator at the network nodes linked by the IP VPN service.
